About International Relations at the Department of Political Science
The IR research at the Department of Political Science convers all aspects of the political processes at the local, national, regional and global level and in both public and private organizations. Hence, all researchers focusing on International Relations are part of the IR-group - one of six research groups at the Department of Political Science. The other five groups are Comparative Politics, Democratic Policy, Digital Political Science Group, Political Theory and Public Administration and Policy.
Parallel to the IR group, the department has created an active and internationally oriented research environment made up by five specialised research centres - each focusing on specific sub-fields in relation to IR:
- Centre for Advanced Security Theory (CAST)
- Centre for Resolution of International Conflicts (CRIC)
- Center for Militære Studier (CMS)
- Center for Europæisk Politik (CEP)
- Nordisk Institut for Asienstudier (NIAS)
The five research centres set the agenda for the IR research at the Department of Political Science in regard to both IR-theory developments, academic debates and research projects.
